Best natural cures for UTI?
Dr. Frank is only partially correct. Yes, you must always treat a UTI and the complications he mentions are indeed correct. However, it is possible to treat a UTI with herbal tinctures and not use standard sulfa drugs or other antibiotics.
However, you cannot just make up some tincture yourself. You must go to a qualified naturopath or herbalist who will prescribe something for you.
While you are treating the infection you should also drink as much as possible and drink unsweetened cranberry juice, which does help. As someone who has had UTIs as well as treating patients with them I can assure you that it helps.
As far as studies go, before you look at the results of a study you must also look at who did the study, how many people were involved, how it was done, how much of the active substance was used, etc. There are studies showing the effectiveness of cranberry juice as well as showing the opposite.
